There will be a school and workshop on KK-theory, Gauge Theory, and Topological Phases, at the Lorentz Center, Leiden, NL, on February 27-March 10, 2017.  The first week will be devoted to mini-courses on KK-theory, K-theory, index theory (in the commutative and noncommutative settings), and topological phases.  The second week will consist of research level talks on Kasparov theory and its recent applications to gauge theory and topological phases of matter.

The website for the conference is

There is NSF support for graduate students and junior faculty (with PhDs in 2013 or later) based at US institutions.  Funding will approximately cover airfare and six days' local expenses.  The website for applying for funding is

Women and underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply.
